If you’re looking to hunt trophy mule deer bucks during the peak of the rut, this hunt is an outstanding opportunity!
Located in southeast Montana, in an area famous for producing big mule deer bucks, we hunt a 42,000-acre ranch in prime mule deer country.
After carefully managing this ranch for over 28 years, the calibur of deer rivals any of our Wyoming ranches. The ranch features six miles of hayfields on one end, plus timbered breaks and rolling grasslands on the other end, an absolute mule deer magnet.
This hunt typically falls during the peak of the mule deer rut, making it a memorable experience.
During the rut, mule deer bucks can be active all day long chasing a hot doe.
Antelope may also be hunted here in late October or the first week of November either alone or combined with mule deer. The Antelope tag is difficult to draw, however, if drawn the quality of Antelope available in Montana can be exceptional.
Montana uses a preference point system for mule deer licensing. Demand for Montana deer licenses has increased making it essential to buy a preference point one year in advance and upon application to insure a draw. Montana recently changed their preference point rules and hunters are capped at acquiring a maximum of two (2) points. However, hunters booked with a Montana Outfitter can buy a third point ensuring draw odds of 100%. Montana preference points can be purchased for $100.00 per point.
