About Sy Gilliland
Sy has more than 45 years of experience in the hunting and outfitting industry. He holds licenses in both Wyoming and Montana, and his leadership extends well beyond camp:
- Current Chairman of the Professional Outfitters & Guides of America
- President of the Wyoming Outfitters & Guides Association (2020–2022)
- Member of the Wyoming Wildlife Task Force, appointed by Governor Mark Gordon (2020–2022)
- Past Board Member of the Wyoming Outfitters & Guides Association
- Past Chairman and 3-term Member of the Wyoming State Board of Outfitters and Professional Guides
- Past Member of the Animal Damage Management Board
- Montana Licensed Professional Outfitter since 1998
- Wyoming Licensed Professional Outfitter since 1977
Sy’s leadership and advocacy have significantly influenced hunting regulations, wildlife conservation efforts, and the outfitting industry in the West. His passion for ethical hunting continues to shape the future of hunting in Wyoming and beyond.
