Trophy Antelope Hunt

Trophy Antelope Hunt

This hunt is conducted on multiple properties that SNS has managed for many years. Our ranches contain hundreds of antelope, and this hunt offers almost nonstop action. It’s clear why this is our most popular antelope hunt. Mature bucks can be found in every herd and we average a 97% lifetime success rate on these hunts.

Trophy Antelope Hunts can take place from either camp or town. Our town hunts take place out of Casper. During your hunt, you will start your day with an early breakfast and head out with your guide using 4x4 vehicles. Once in the field, we use binoculars and spotting scopes to locate and judge the pronghorn bucks in the field. When a good buck is found a stalk is planned. The goal is to get as close as possible for a clean, ethical kill.

We describe a Trophy Antelope as a buck having a 13-inch horn or longer and a Safari Club International score of 70 or more. We hunt hard and most antelope we take will be larger than our minimum standards.

The trophy hunt areas can be harder to draw, so we strongly recommend you enroll in our preference point program

Better Than Average Antelope Hunt:

Better Than Average Antelope Hunt:

This is a fun hunt with a lot of action. You will see plenty of antelope to choose from and your guide will work to get you the best antelope available.

This is a two-day antelope hunt from town. On this trip, we hunt with two or three hunters per guide. This is a great hunt for first-time hunters, youth hunters, or those on a budget or with a limited amount of time. This is also a great hunt for people with limited physical abilities, as the terrain allows you to get closer using 4x4 vehicles.

We describe a better-than-average antelope as having a 12-inch horn length or longer and a minimum score of 65 or more using the Safari Club International scoring system. This hunt boasts a 97% success rate.

Record Book Antelope Hunt

Record Book Antelope Hunt:

We carefully manage our ranches and limit the number of record book antelope hunts we take every year. Having outstanding habitat and large numbers of mature bucks is only part of the equation. Antelope are the hardest big game animal to score on the hoof. They may look alike to the average hunter, but not to the seasoned guide. SNS has very experienced antelope guides; in fact, they are some of the very best.

You and your guide will be hunting for antelope that score in the upper 70s to mid-80s. SNS Outfitter & Guides has a lifetime success rate of 97% and we have taken many antelope that scored over 80 inches SCI. We take a limited number of record book antelope hunts and spots fill fast, so don’t wait.

You can hunt record book antelope either from camp or from town. During our camp hunts, after an early breakfast, you’ll head out with your guide to start the day. If you choose a town hunt, your guide will meet you at your motel in the morning. Our hunting areas are not far from town, so there’s no need to worry about long drives to start the day.

We use 4x4 vehicles for both hunts. You can expect to spend a lot of time behind the glass, spotting antelope until your experienced guide finds the one you have been looking for. This is where the fun begins. The stalk is planned and every bit of terrain is used to walk, crawl or do whatever it takes to get you within range of that record book antelope. We define a record book antelope as one with 14-16 inches of horn length. An antelope qualifies for record book status when it scores in the high 70s and above using the Safari Club International scoring system.

The record book hunt areas can be harder to draw, so we strongly recommend you enroll in our preference point program. This is our top-of-the-line antelope hunt and a great choice for those who have hunted antelope before and are trying to find that really special animal.

DOE ANTELOPE HUNTING:

Doe Antelope are available on some hunts for an additional $350.00 guide service plus license fees.

RANDOM ANTELOPE APPLICATION:

The demand to hunt Wyoming’s most plentiful big game animal far exceeds the ability to draw a license in our hunt areas that draw with little to no preference points and our hunts in antelope areas that draw with 0-1 point are often sold out a year in advance. However, Wyoming and Montana both offer hunters a chance to draw a license in their random draw. Several of the areas we hunt have outstanding pronghorn populations and the random draw offers a 10-20% chance of drawing an antelope license. If you have been wanting to hunt antelope but do not have any preference points, we are offering to submit an antelope application in the 2024 random draw for you.

Here is how it works:
  1. Download our BOOKING FORM, fill it out, and return the form along with the appropriate license fees and a $250.00 deposit. Be sure to indicate that you want to be placed in the RANDOM ANTELOPE DRAW and for which state. You can choose to apply for either Wyoming or Montana OR double your chances and apply for BOTH states.
  2. Once the booking form has been received, we will submit an antelope license application to the Wyoming Game and Fish or Montana Fish, Wildlife and Parks by their appropriate deadlines.
  3. If you are successful in the draw, hunt dates will be arranged and the remaining 50% hunt deposit will be collected. Wyoming releases draw results mid-June and Montana releases theirs around August 1.
  4. If you are unsuccessful in drawing a random antelope license you will be contacted by our office and offered first-choice hunt dates for the following year. By doing this you will be able to draw with 100% draw odds and secure a spot for the following year. At this time, the remaining 50% hunt deposit will be collected. If you choose not to do this option, we will refund you the license fees and the deposit you paid less the application and processing fees.

Testimonials

It was the best hunt of my life. I will use SNS for all future western hunts.
My guide understood the needs of a novice female bow hunter and set up the blind with the waterhole accordingly.
Excellent experience, should be on every hunters bucket list.
