Meet the SNS Hunting Guides: Mark Jarrett
Here at SNS Outfitter and Guides, we believe that our team of staff and hunting guides is among the best in the business and we love to brag about them! We’d like to take this opportunity to introduce you to one of our professional hunting guides who has been a part of the SNS family for more than a decade.
Meet Mark Jarrett. Mark is from Billingsley, Alabama and is one of our outstanding guides. If you’ve hunted with us before, you may have met Mark or his wife, Charlotte, who is one of our excellent camp cooks. Mark and Charlotte travel from Alabama each year to spend the hunting season with us in Wyoming.
We recently spoke to Mark about his experience as a Wyoming hunting guide and what keeps him coming back each season. Here’s what he had to say:
Q: How long have you been a professional hunting guide with SNS?
Mark: I have been guiding for SNS for 10 years!
Q: What your favorite part of guiding hunters?
Mark: I really enjoy the clients, meeting new people and having the opportunity to hunt with them. This is something I look forward to each year. I actually might be here for the longest season among all of our guides. I guide from early August through late October.
Q: What’s your favorite Wyoming hunt to guide?
Mark: Antelope is the most fun. I guide the archery antelope hunts, which I really enjoy. I don’t have a particular camp that I like better than another. All of our camps are fun. Meeting the clients and taking them out hunting is the highlight, no matter which camp I’m at.
Q: What do you do in the off-season?
Mark: I’m retired now, so I get to hunt and fish most of the time at home. I fish in a ton of bass tournaments at home and I’m also a big Alabama football fan…Roll Tide!
Q: What is your favorite game recipe?
Mark: I love elk tenderloin on the grill.
Q: What’s one more fun fact about yourself that you’d like to share?
Mark: I have 200” whitetail out of Alabama that I got in 1985.
Thanks to Mark Jarrett for taking the time to share a little bit about himself and why enjoys guiding hunters each season. Mark is now guiding archery antelope hunters as the 2016 bow season has begun! You can follow us on Instagram (@snsoutfitter) or on Facebook to keep up on the latest photos from our hunting camps.
