After spending quite a bit of time researching different outfitters throughout Wyoming, I landed on SNS Outfitter & Guides. While I was researching Wyoming Outfitters, I had a few things in mind – these made for fairly specific wants and needs. Most importantly, I wanted an outfitter that offered hunts for big game animals. This is simply because I want to continue building preference points for tro[...]

Here in central Wyoming our winter has been very mild which in turn makes for an easy winter on our wildlife, namely antelope. With easy access to winter feed, the antelope around the state are in great shape and we are anticipating a banner year for horn growth. With that said, now is your change to hunt antelope in Wyoming th[...]
Hey Sy and Ambrosia,
This will be my 5th year hunting with SNS, and there is never a dull moment. Recently, I was hunting with my guide, Lex Dyer, looking for a freak antelope (which, we had spotted). Although we began our stalk, we were not able to get on the antelope. But, on our way back, Lex spotted a beautiful antelope, only 200 yards away. He told me, “Shoot that antelope! It’s a very nice one.” We were side hilling at th[...]
If you’re new to hunting antelope, you’ll find some challenges totally unique to this species. In fact taxonomically, they are not related to anything else in the world. Not a true antelope and not related to other deer species like elk or moose, the American pronghorn is one of a kind.
Antelope are perhaps best known for their excellent vision. T[...]
This year in Wyoming, much of the talk has been about severe winter conditions at high elevations in the western part of the state. But while certain areas in the high country have received heavy snow, it’s a far different story over on the eastern flank of the Rockies and across the plains.
Amid the buzz about a rough winter for high country mule deer, we are currently anticipating one of our best years for antelope in recent history. If yo[...]
Most of our 2014 Wyoming hunts have come to a close. We had a great season of antelope hunts, mule deer hunts and elk hunts here across the state. Compared to the heavy October snows of last year, the weather was very cooperative. In fact, it was a little too warm at times. However, after dealing with the headaches that the snow caused in 2013, nobody was complaining about this year’s Indian summer.
Antelope hunting overall was very good[...]
Our 2014 archery antelope hunting season was a great success again, here at SNS Outfitter & Guides in Wyoming! Overall, we were fortunate with good weather and excellent hunting conditions. Our archery antelope hunters harvested some great bucks and we had a lot of fun. The archery hunt is always a fun time of year. Seeing these animals up close and personal is a great experience.
Our archery antelope hunts are 5-day hunts that take place [...]
SNS is extremely proud of its team of hunting guides and employees, and Jason Hill is a perfect example of why. Jason has been guiding for SNS for 15 years, and has a wealth of hunting knowledge. SNS is an employee-owned company and we are proud that Jason is one of our owners, helping direct the vision and future of this outfit.
We recently sat down with Jason to discuss his thoughts on mule deer and antelope hunting, and to hear his tip[...]
