Reminder: Wyoming Antelope and Deer Application Deadline!
Just a reminder that the nonresident application deadline for Wyoming antelope and deer licenses is March 17! Your application must be submitted by 5 p.m. MDT that day. Please note that beginning this year, all applications must be completed online. Wyoming is no longer accepting paper applications.
When applying, hunters must remit the full cost of the license, plus the $14 application fee. After the drawing in late June, successful applicants will receive their license. Unsuccessful applicants will be issued a preference point and a refund, minus the application fee. However, it is important to remember that even if you fail to draw your first choice antelope or deer license, you can draw a second choice license. This allows you to collect a preference point and still hunt that fall.
In the long run, accumulating preference points in Wyoming can help save money by allowing you to purchase a regular license at a lower cost, instead of a special license at a higher cost. Even if you don’t plan to hunt this year, this can open up a great deal of opportunity down the road.
SNS helps take the guess work out of the application process. We can actually do it for you. For hunters enrolled in our preference point program, we will contact you annually to discuss your hunting plans and help you decide the best route to accumulate points and draw the license you desire. Best of all, when you decide to use your points on one of our hunts, we will deduct the cost of your points from the price of your hunt. In the end, your preference points will cost nothing!
If you have any questions about Wyoming’s application process or our preference point program, please feel free to give us a call at 307-266-4229. You may also request a free brochure that includes details on all of our hunts.
SNS Outfitter & Guides is Wyoming’s top outfitter and the number one antelope outfitter in North America. With more than 700,000 acres of private land, we offer more opportunity than any other outfitter in the state. For more information on our hunts, please check out our website.
