It is remarkable what a difference weather can make in a hunting season.
Here we are in mid October, still enjoying some of the best fall weather any of us can remember. We have had day after day of sunny skies, hardly any wind and temperatures in the mid sixtes and even low seventy degrees. When we had this type of fall weather, my father used to call it an “Indian Summer”. An “Indian Summer” is defined by Wikiped[...]
How come it has become harder to draw a non resident Wyoming antelope license? This question is often asked of Sy and Ambrosia when hunters call looking for a Wyoming antelope hunt. The answer involves three main factors. First, the over all demand from non residents desiring to hunt antelope has caused the draw odds to become more difficult. Second, Wyoming’s antelope population has experienced a decline due to a recent harsh weather event [...]
When you think black bear hunting you rarely think of Wyoming. Some of the better known black bear hunting destinations are Canada, Alaska, Minnesota, Maine, Idaho and Montana. Very few hunters realize how good the black bear hunting is in western Wyoming, but the word is getting out!
When it comes to color phase black bear hunts, your options quickly narrow. Color phase bears can usually be found in most black bear populations bu[...]

During the fall of 2022 our staff will be assisting Taylor Engum with camp set up and tear down, learning horse trails, and guiding elk hunters. After a full season, I am confident we will be ready to take over operations and will have developed the skill set required to run this wilderness backcountry pack in camp.

Several subjects have been discussed and either rejected or approved and moved on to the legislature or commission or continue to take public comment.
One topic that has drawn a lot of attention is an outfitter draw. The task force is currently [...]
We are excited to announce that SNS Outfitter & Guides has acquired a new elk hunting opportunity. In addition to our private land elk hunt and our Greys River elk hunt conducted out of the Box Y Lodge, we will now offer a wilderness elk hunting experience in the Shoshone National Forest.
In the past, this camp was owned and operated by Todd Jones for 12 years[...]
There is no such thing as an off-season in outfitting. However, having camp open early and keeping the horses conditioned is one of the more enjoyable aspects when it comes to pre-season hunting duties. Each summer we welcome guests for private horseback rides and camping adventures at our Jackson Hole Outfitters camp and we would like to extend a perso[...]
