We say it all the time, but it can’t be over-emphasized. The outstanding people here at SNS Outfitter and Guides are what help make this organization special. Our staff and guides work tirelessly to make sure that each of our clients has a memorable experience.

You can find a perfect example of that care and commitment at our Jackson Hole Outfitters Camp. Mark and Jan Gibbons have been welcoming guests to our horseback riding and hunting camp along the Greys River for ten years. Jan is a great cook and a thoughtful host. Mark is an expert wrangler and trail-riding guide. Whether guests arrive for a half-day trail ride or a six-day hunt, Jan and Mark work hard to make it feel like home.

“Mark and I live in southern Illinois and we are fortunate to work for SNS for five months of the year,” Jan says. “We work at the Jackson Hole Outfitters camp during the summer trail riding season and through the fall hunting season.”

During the off-season, Jan works for a consulting company based in Fort Worth, Texas. But as soon as summer arrives in Western Wyoming, you can find her welcoming guests and making home-cooked meals at camp. Jan says that her favorite thing to cook for guests is homemade fried chicken. Her favorite wild game recipe is a slow-cooked Italian venison sandwich, served on hoagie rolls.

“My favorite part of the job is getting to meet people from all over the U.S. and from other countries,” Jan told us. “I can’t think of another way I’d rather spend the summer and fall than in the beautiful country along the Greys River.”

We’d like to thank Mark and Jan for all of their hard work over the years. They have helped make the Jackson Hole Outfitters camp a very special place to visit for each of our guests.
