We can’t emphasize enough how fortunate we are to have some of the very best hunting guides in the business. Over the years, many of our clients become repeat clients, who then become close friends, thanks to the care and hard work of our guides and other staff.

Ralph Hlebak is a perfect example of one of those guides who goes out of his way to give our hunters a memorable experience. A true Cowboy, Ralph always has a smile on his face and loves to laugh. He’s the kind of guide who will make any hunter’s trip one of their best ever.

We had a chance to chat with Ralph and ask him about his experience and his favorite things about being a hunting guide. Here’s what he had to say.

“Well, I’m from Jackson, Wyoming and I’ve been guiding for SNS now for more than 12 years,” Ralph told us. “I’d have to say that my favorite thing about guiding is being able to put a smile on people’s faces. That is a great privilege.”

Ralph is a guide on our hunts in the Greys River area of western Wyoming. These hunts include high country mule deer hunts, archery elk and rifle elk hunts. The Greys River is also where we have our spring bear and fall black bear hunting.

“My favorite hunts to guide are the mule deer hunts,” Ralph said. “I love hunting big mule deer. One of the best parts of these hunts is watching the top side of an eagle. Up there in the Greys River country, you have the opportunity to be up on the highest peaks glassing for deer. It’s a pretty amazing sight to see an eagle soaring below you!

“When It’s not hunting season, I am also a fly fishing guide,” Ralph continued. “I really enjoy guiding fishing trips in Yellowstone.”
