Happy New Year! We hope you enjoyed the holidays and that you’re ready to start planning your 2017 hunting adventures. Ready or not, the Wyoming elk application deadline is the end of January. With only a few weeks left, it’s time to decide on your plans for archery elk or rifle elk hunting next season.

Remember that in Wyoming, a portion of the license pool is set aside for a random draw. So even if you don’t have points in Wyoming, you could draw on your first year! If you don’t draw, you’ll gain a preference point. And that sets you up for great hunting opportunities down the road. Apply this year – it’s a win either way!

We have a couple of opportunities available that are worth mentioning before the elk application deadline. First we offer a wonderful archery elk hunting experience at our Jackson Hole Outfitters camp in western Wyoming.
