2016 Spring Black Bear Hunts Have Begun
We are excited to announce that the 2016 hunting season has begun! Our spring black bear hunts in western Wyoming kicked off on May 9. We are happy to welcome our first guests of the year to the Box Y Lodge along the Greys River for what is always one of the most fun hunts of the year and a perfect way to start the season.
Bear hunts at the Box Y Lodge provide a perfect balance of relaxation and hunting excitement. With plenty of down time for fly fishing, hiking or sight seeing, our guests have the opportunity to experience this scenic country. Then in the afternoons and evenings, we set out to hunt these beautiful color-phase bears.
We still have a few spots open for the fall black bear hunts here at the Box Y Lodge this year! The open dates are September 7 – 11. If you’d like to experience this memorable hunt, call us right away at 307-266-4229. Our spring bear hunts sold out early this year, so be sure and book soon if you’re interested in a hunt next spring.
The Greys River area is the capitol of bear hunting in Wyoming. A high density of bears and their predominantly color-phase coats make this an ideal spring black bear destination. It’s a much easier travel destination than Canada and you won’t deal with any of those biting flies! And because of the elevations we hunt here in Wyoming, our bears don’t have slipped hides.
The spring black bear hunts will continue until the end of May. If you’re hunting with us in the next couple of weeks, we look forward to seeing you soon! If you’d like more information on one of these hunts, please visit our Black Bear Page. For details or specific availability, call us at 307-266-4229 or send us an email.
